It went from a national monument to a national park in 1980. I'll give you the exact date of the national monument was created as well.

Glacier Bay National Park and Reserve of the United States is a national park in the southern part of western Alaska, Juneau. The park area was included in a Biosphere Reserve in 1986 and is part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site. The park covers 5130 km ² (13.287 km ²). The largest part of the park is an immaterial space, parking for 4164 km ² (10.784 square kilometers).
